Jeff Golub Ready To Release New CD Featuring Henry Butler

Great news for all Jeff Golub fans. Jeff will be releasing a new CD at the end of June that is sure to be outstanding. The CD is a tribute to the music of Albert King, B.B. King and Freddie King, I think that says it all about why you should own this CD. According to Jeff "When you look at the modern blues and rock vocabulary, it's almost impossible for anyone to play something that doesn't reflect their influence somehow.  Whether you're talking about Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, anyone you can name, they are directly or indirectly influenced by something that one of them did or played. Their songs are timeless and, while they also certainly had their influences, the impact of their work is unquestioned".  Keith Richards also credits the "Three Kings" in his new book, LIFE, in similar words to Jeff's. As soon a I can get this CD, I intend to publish a review. Stay tuned!

  1. I'm reading "Life" by Keith Richards right now. It's a great read, very funny too. Henry Butler is a fantastic performer, Jeff Golub is lucky to have him on board.

  2. Hi Sabina: I am almost finished reading LIFE also and you are right, it is a good read. Will be reviewing the new Golub CD next week. Thanks for the comment.

  3. Wishing Morgana King a Happy Birthday June 4th.
Looking forward to releasing our new album, Swingin' Big, with Ted Herman's Big Band in the next few weeks. As always I am enjoying the excellent work Bob collects and shares with his fans. We are soon to be opening a new club in Palm Springs, Europa Restaurant at Villa Royale, with Chef Vincent Guccione. I will be singing with Pat Rizzo and His Band. Thanks again Bob. Be into music and count your blessings.

  4. Thanks, Lee! Great news about your gig at Europa Restaurant. I sure you will get the club off to a great start. Wish I could be there for your opening! I have listened to a few of the cuts that will be on your new CD and they are just outstanding. I wish you much success!

  5. Ever since Landau first appeared on AGT, I've been anxiously awaiting his first album. Got my first copies today!! Yes, I certainly ordered more than just one! And, I'm so glad I did. At least now while I'm waiting for his second album, I'll be able to enjoy the first. If I wear one out, I've got plenty more to keep on listening.
